How do your boots fit?
Our boots run true to size with a roomy, broken-in feel through the toe box. If you wear a standard width in most footwear, order your usual size and expect a snug heel that loosens as the leather molds to your foot.
How do I measure my size?
Stand on a sheet of paper in the socks you'll wear, trace your foot, and measure heel to longest toe. Compare that length to our size chart on each product page — when in doubt, measure both feet in the late afternoon and use the larger one.
What if my size is between two?
If you land between sizes, we recommend sizing down a half size for a closer fit, since full-grain leather relaxes with wear. If you plan to wear thick boot socks, hold your size instead.
Do they stretch over time?
Yes. Our leathers soften and conform to your foot over the first few weeks of wear, easing across the ball of the foot and the toe box. The heel and overall length stay true, so the fit you order is the fit you keep.
Orders & Shipping
Are there any shipping restrictions?
Due to regulations on the sale of exotic leather goods in the state of California, we are unable to ship boots from our Exotics collection to California addresses. Orders containing exotic products with a California shipping address will not be accepted. All other products in our catalog ship freely to California and every other US state. Please contact our team at orders@cougarpaws.com if you have questions about a specific product.
How long does shipping take?
In-stock orders ship within 1–2 business days and arrive in 3–5 business days within the US. You'll receive a confirmation email with tracking the moment your boots leave the workshop.
How do I track my order?
Once your order ships, we email a tracking link you can follow door to door. You can also check status anytime from your account, or reach out to orders@cougarpaws.com and we'll look it up for you.
Is shipping really free?
Shipping is free on all US orders over$150— which covers every full-price pair we make. Orders below that ship at a flat, transparent rate shown at checkout.
Returns & Care
What's your return policy?
We offer 30-day returns with no restocking fee. Try your boots on indoors, and if the fit or feel isn't right, send them back unworn outdoors for a full refund or exchange.
How do I care for the leather?
Brush off dirt, wipe with a damp cloth, and condition the leather every few months with a quality cream to keep it supple. Let wet boots air-dry away from direct heat, and use cedar shoe trees to hold their shape.
